How To Upgrade Blackberry OS to OS 6

Blackberry has launched the new operating system version 6. But not all devices can be upgraded. Recently I upgrade my BlackBerry operating system to version 6. I use a Blackberry 9700 T-Mobile. If you want to try to upgrade the BlackBerry operating system you can follow the tutorial below, but do with your own risk.

Follow these steps:

Backup data from your blackberry using the Device Manager (DM). You can install the DM from the CD included in the box when you first bought blackberry or you can download it.
Download and install BBSAK software. You can download it here.
Download and install Blackberry OS 6. You can download it here (select your service provider and choose your blacberry's type, e.g. Blackberry Bold (TM) 9700 smartphone).
Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader, and delete vendor.xml.
Open BBSAK and click Wipe Device.
Wait until reboot and 507 error screen appear (No OS at your blackberry).
Still at BBSAK, click Load OS. Choose your OS 6.
A new window will appear, choose next and select your application's pack to installed. Next until your blackberry reboot.
Your installation has been complete. Now, open Device Manager and restore your backup files.
Finish. Enjoy your new OS. Here's my blackberry's screen:

How To Downgrade Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla has been released the new version mozilla firefox browser. There are several changes that I think it more like Google Chrome browser. After I installed it, I think mozilla firefox take many memory resource that make my computer slow down. After use it for several days, I choose to downgrade my mozilla.

How to downgrade mozilla firefox to the previous one?

Just visit this ftp site. Choose what mozilla's version that you want to install (e.g 3.5). Select win32 and choose your languange. If you want to install the mozilla with English America, choose en-US. Download the mozilla firefox by clicking "Firefox Setup 3.5.exe".

Done. I hope this tips is useful for you that has problem with the new version mozilla firefox.

1. Press blackberry menu and choose "Capture It".

2. Select and press "Capture It" icon.

If you can't install it online you can install it offline by download this file (CaptureIt.zip). Extract the file and copy "CaptureIt" folder to your blackberry (with data cable). Open the jad file ("captureit.jad"), and install the software. You can create blackberry tutorial by using this software.

Form Contacts Sent to Email Through Blogger

If you have a website or blog, you should have menu to keep contact to your visitors. Some of it is chatbox or form contact. At chat box, the message is general because all the message sent also read by all the visitors. Diffrent with form contact, the message from the visitor, sent to the blogger / website owner.

You can add chat box menu to your blog from other website that provide it, such as chatbox and shoutmix. For form contact, you can add it from this site.

Follow this steps:

Register to emailmeform.
Verify your register by clicking the link from email that you received.
Login, choose "Template" and choose "Customize".

Click "Add Field" to add the other field.

Save your settings and going back to "template" menu.
Click "Code" to get the codes and choose the second menu "HTML with Javascript/CSS".
Copy that codes. Now, return to your blog. Choose "Posting" menu, select "Edit Pages" and create "New Page". Give it a name (I named it "Contact Me") and paste the code at "Edit HTML" mode.
Create a link to your page (at my case the page's address is http://ivanjaya.blogspot.com/p/contact-me.html). It shown below:

Typing Strikethrough Text on Blackberry

Continued from the last post (Cleaning Your Blackberry Memory), I'll share an application to typing text strikethrough on the Blackberry. This application made by programmer from Indonesia (iBNuX).

Here is the steps:

Download and install the application here through your blackberry.
New menu will now appear on the blackberry menu named "Add ~~Coret~~ text"

Select "Add ~~Coret~~ text" menu and type your words that want to strikethrough

After that press Blackberry menu and select "Paste"

And your text has been strikethrough.

And then select "Memory Cleaning" :
At the status choose "Disabled", and then press your BB menu and select "Clean Now" :

Deleted Files Are Still Appear On The Blackberry

It's been a long time not update this blog, and now I want to refresh my blog with a new post. I will begin by writing a short post and hopefully useful. This tutorial is for Blackberry user.

I used Blackberry for several month and one dayI got a problem. I've deleted some files of music and video but the file name still appears in the music and video player. If the name of the file is opened it will open another file or not open at all.

If you have the same problem, try the following steps:

Connect your blackberry to the PC.
Open windows explorer. Go to the storage drive (e.g. drive F:)
Delete files BBthumbs.dat. This file is located in a folder of music or video. If this file is not visible, on the menu select Tools> Folder Options> View. In the advanced settings, select Show hidden files and folders. OK.

Speed Up Your Blog To The Top Google Pages

Speed up your blog from now on if you want your blog will be on the top of google's search pages. I choose to change my blogger template to W3C valid template and offcourse it's improve the loading speed. Google said that loading times / speed of the website or blog will effect the site or blog position in Google.

Matt Cutts who works for the Search Quality group in Google suggested http://code.google.com/speed to improve our blog performance. If loading times effect the search result, than the heavy blog that used many images, animations, videos and also music will be down to far. I don't know how far the effect since my blog loading speed is very good (I check with the Google Code: http://code.google.com/speed/page-speed/ and I get 86 from 100).

Blogger Template W3C Valid

After using a good graphic template for several months, I choose to change the blogger template. Simple and more important is W3C valid. Start from blogwalking, I arrived at one blog that very simple layout and I see the 2 unique widget (W3C valid and CSS valid). I realize that I'm a newbie at blogging, so I search the information about W3C valid and why it's important as a standard. You can find the information from wiki.

I start looking for the free W3C valid and there is so hard to find the template (I know HTML and CSS but I'm not an expert to create the template). Finally I find a simple one from this site. Even the valid W3C only the main page but there is enough for me. I add the another widget that very important to me (twitter and RSS) from the Edit HTML (I insert the widget from page element and I got error after that so I choose to insert it from Edit HTML). Right now, I'll try so hard to fix another W3C and CSS error.

You can visit this site to check your blog valid W3C or not. You can see that a big website like yahoo and google also have an error. Confuse? Than find the answer.

Sometime we want to resize our image resolution become smaller, so we can upload it faster. But what will you do if you want to resize more than ten or hundred image? You'll be tired to resize it one by one.

With Ubuntu Linux, you can simply resize the mass image.

Follow this steps:

Install Nautilus Image Converter (sudo apt-get install nautilus-image-converter).
Open Nautilus (File Browser). Open your images folder, and select all the image that you want to resize (for all image justCtrl+A).
Right click and choose Resize Images
Setting the “Image Size” and the “Filename”. At my case (you can see at the picture below), I want to create thumbnail with size 100×69 pixels, and add the filename with “-small” behind the source filename.

At Windows operating system we know some software to accelerate download file such as Internet Download Manager (IDM) or Flashget. With that download accelerator the speed of download can maximize because the file split to some pieces.

What about Linux especially Ubuntu? Is there any software to used?

Ubuntu Linux also has software to accelerate download. If you search at Ubuntu Software Center, you'll find Axel to use (GUI) or you can use wget from the terminal. But actually I like to use prozilla. I like to use it because we can pause the download and continue at another time. Prozilla used from the terminal. You can install it with this command:

sudo apt-get install prozilla

After you install it, you can use it from the terminal. You can get the information how to use it by type: proz --help. Copy the source where the file that you want to download. Open your terminal and type this command:

proz -r -k=10 paste_your_source

Replace paste_your_souce with your source dowload by paste the source. -r means resume if your download disconnected, -k=10 means 10 connection to download. If you want to pause the download, simply hold Ctrl+R. You can continue download by do the command above: proz -r -k=10 paste_your_source or simply hold your up-arrow from the keyboard to find that command.

When you use Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, there is no option to remember password like the previous version. Maybe it'll disturbing for some users because if you want to mount local drive or access drive from other operating system (dual Operating System), you must fill the password.

You can make your password to be remembered with this manual method:

Open your terminal and type:
sudo gedit /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.devicekit.disks.policy

Find action id:
org.freedesktop.devicekit.disks.filesystem-mount-system-internal

At the action id find (without quotes):
" <allow_active>auth_admin_keep</allow_active> "

And change with (without quotes):
" <allow_active>yes</allow_active> "

PES 2010 Running Time Error Visual C++ Fixed

Several days ago I've completed download Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 ISO from the internet. After extract the ISO with 7zip to a new folder, I try to install it to my PC. But I got the problem after installed the game. When I try to running the game it showed an error warning:

Program: E:\PROGRAM FILES\KONAMI\PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2010\PES2010.EXE

Abnormal program termination

I try and try again but the game can't run. I use google to search the solution and find that many people got the same problem with me. I try every solution that I got from the internet but the problem can't fixed. The last solution that I'll take it is reinstall the windows. But I won't do that and yesterday I can running the PES 2010.

I try to install the game at my friends notebook and the game running without problem. When I install the PES 2010 at my friends notebook, I use Daemon tools and mount the ISO, after that I install it from virtual cd daemon.

Could it be the way that I used to install the game?

I uninstall the PES 2010 from my PC and reinstall again. After that my problem resolved. Here is my actions:

1. I don't have Daemon program, so I mount the ISO with Nero Image Drive.

2. I install the game from the virtual cd nero (windows explorer).

3. Copy the crack and vuelaaa.. the game is running. ^_^

I don't know why the game corrupted when I install from the extracted ISO and the game work when I install from mounted ISO virtual cd. Maybe you have the same problem with me and I hope my actions above can help solve your problem.

Sepak Bola. Mungkin olahraga ini yang tidak akan pernah membuatku bosan, mulai dari menonton pertandingan, bermain sepak bola atau memainkan game-nya. Dulu sewaktu SMP dan SMU game Winning Eleven menjadi favorit, waktu itu memainkannya di Playstation 1.

Sekarang dengan perubahan waktu, Konami dengan versi Winning Eleven-nya pun berkembang. Kali ini dengan PES 2008 (Pro Evolution Soccer 2008) yang merupakan nama lain dari Winning Eleven yang diperuntukkan untuk Benua Eropa dan Amerika.

Setelah sekian lama tidak memainkan game Winning Eleven (Playstation 1 nya dah dijual dan gak sanggup beli Playstation 2), akhirnya bisa mainin game ini lagi lewat PC dengan versi yang terbaru yaitu PES 2008.

Gameplay nya menarik, gerakan pemainnya mempunyai ciri khas tersendiri. Ada berapa penambahan seperti wasit yang terlihat di pertandingan (kadang-kadang ngeselin karena bisa tabrakan sama tu wasit), diving (pura-pura jatuh), dan beberapa passing dan shooting dengan variasi yang berbeda. Ada 1 lagi penambahan yang membuat game ini seperti pertandingan bola sungguhan yaitu pada saat corner kick kita bisa memilih 3 pemain (termasuk penjaga gawang / Goal keeper)yang masuk ke kotak penalti lawan untuk menyambut umpan tendangan pojok. Hal ini kalau di pertandingan sepak bola sungguhan sering dilakukan penjaga gawang di penghujung waktu pertandingan saat tim nya ketinggalan dari lawan.

Secara keseluruhan game ini bagus dengan gameplay yang semua gerakannya hampir menyerupai pertandingan sepak bola sungguhan.

Untuk itu saya beri nilai "9" untuk game ini.

SMASH Table Tennis / Pingpong

In a few days I play pingpong again. After the long time didn't play it, I can play it at the office. If at the past my opponents are my friends at the college, now my opponents are my friends at the office. If at the past my opponents is a newbie like me, now my opponents are more skillful.

Udah beberapa hari ini main pingpong lagi. Setelah sekian lama gak main pingpong, ternyata bisa main lagi di kantor. Kalo dulu lawan main pingpong teman-teman kampus, sekarang lawan main pingpong teman-teman kerja. Kalo dulu lawan main pingpong masih sama-sama belajar (skill pas-pasan) sekarang lawan main pinpong lebih jago-jago.

Something that I confuse is so hardly to do a SMASH, curious for the SMASH that rarely touch the enemy table makes me obsesion to search the video.

Yang herannya sekarang kok susah banget SMASH, makanya penasaran SMASH jarang masuk jadi terobsesi nyari videonya.

Robinho Futsal'Style

Belakangan ini keranjingan main FUTSAL. Sebenarnya olahraga ini waktu kecil dulu sering aku lakukan bareng anak-anak komplek rumah (main bola juga sih namanya cuma di lapangan kecil). Cuma sekarang beda. Kalo dulu aku sering cetak GOL, kalo sekarang lebih jadi barisan pertahanan dan pe-nyuplai bola. Kalo dulu main hasrat untuk menang itu tinggi, kalo sekarang main memang untuk olahraga. Walaupun begitu mainnya tetap serius.

Lagi longgar waktu kerja, ku sempatin browsing. Eh.. ketemu video Robinho lagi main futsal. Hehehe... (lumayan keren tapi masih kerenan aku lah ^_^ ). Mau lihat gaya Robinho main futsal, lihat aja di bawah ini:

Mozilla Firefox is a free browser that have some special fiture. I can tell that because many people use it from day to day.

Some of Mozilla Firefox fiture :

1. Security: Malicous code that usually attack Internet Explorer is a problem that caused IE user migration to Firefox. If you add Google Toolbar, the security is much stronger. Google have contra-phising build sPP for Firefox that reduce stuck risk at phising scam.

2. Use: There is Tab fiture that reduce stack at taskbar, accelerate for browsing, and reduce the power of your PC when you browsing. Ekstension fiture Tab Mix Plus make you can open browser for the several tab, and this can speed the process than when I used IE.

3. And more another fiture.

The Favorite Fiture at Mozilla Firefox:

* Google Toolbar (You can search data at Google toolbar without open the Google site).
* Tabbed Browsing (With one window you can open more than 1 site with the tab without
open another window)
* Better Security (Help you to prevent spyware or adware attact)

Blog is like personal website that looks like journal. Why blog became popular?
The blog content is personal make the owner freely expression their self. Nowadays, Blog not only like diary or sharing, but also used as a business property. From day to days more blogger owner increased.

Blogger is one of blog site that easily to used. It's more easy if you have a gmail account, it's because Google acquisition blogger.com. So, Gmail's member can login to blogger.com with their account.

It was simple, you only registration (if you are not Gmail's member), choose you'r template and then you can start posting what content you want to write. You also can customize your blogger template with widget or editing the html code. You can also add "Google Adsense" on it.
